These Neve 1064s have quite the history. They were originally at Abby Road where the techs modified the hi-band to be 11K instead of 10K. Then producer Don Gehman had them for most of the 80s and 90s and they were used to record vocals for hits like Fast Car by Tracy Chapman as well as John Cougar-Mellencamp, The Stray Cats, and others. They were recapped and fully serviced by Fredo less than a year ago and have had under 10 hours of use since.
The metal lid was removed for easy access to the impedance switch.
