Gator Cases was founded in 2000 by father-daughter team Jerry Freed and Crystal Morris in Tampa, Florida, launching at Summer NAMM with a focused line of molded plastic guitar cases before expanding into a catalog of over 1,000 solutions spanning pro audio, percussion, AV, and band instruments. With US manufacturing facilities in Indiana, Gator produces cases from vacuum-formed and rotational-molded plastics, wood, EVA, and sewn materials — and in 2013 extended the brand into stands and support systems with the Frameworks line. Gator’s acquisitions of Protechtor Cases, Viking Cases, and Levy’s Leathers have broadened both manufacturing capability and product reach, making Gator one of the most comprehensive accessories brands in the industry.
