Audient ASP800 8-Channel Mic Preamp with HMX & IRON

The Audient ASP800 is an 8-channel mic preamp and ADAT expander designed to add professional-grade front-end quality to any audio interface. Eight Audient Console mic preamps—the same discrete circuit design found in the ASP8024-HE recording console—deliver ultra-low noise, low distortion, and classic analogue warmth across the full 60dB gain range. Two JFET instrument DI inputs handle guitar, bass, keyboard, and drum machine with the harmonic character of a classic valve amplifier input stage. Two Retro Channels add optional analogue tone via HMX harmonic saturation (discrete MOSFET asymmetrical distortion) and IRON transformer drive (custom British transformer with magnetic tape-style saturation), each controlled by a single knob that simultaneously shapes drive impedance, bass response, high-frequency damping, phase shift, and transient response.
