The Barefoot Sound LFE15 is a 1,400-watt sealed-enclosure subwoofer built around Dual-Force Technology—a dual opposed 15-inch neodymium driver configuration where two drivers work against each other to cancel cabinet vibrations at the source, delivering tight and controlled low-frequency extension down to 15Hz (–3dB). Designed as a dedicated companion to the full Barefoot Sound monitor line, the LFE15 operates in two distinct modes: LFE Mode for a discrete low-frequency effects channel with a selectable 4th-order Butterworth crossover, and Boost Mode for stereo setups, which uses a 1st-order minimum phase low-pass filter to enhance and extend low frequencies without the phase cancellation introduced by conventional 2.1 crossover designs. Machined aluminum control and amplifier plates, reinforced driver guards, recessed lift handles, and a selectable +10dB sensitivity switch round out a subwoofer built for demanding studio and immersive audio environments.
