Drawmer CMC3 Monitor Controller

Full Featured, Accurate & Affordable

The CMC3 Compact Monitor Controller consolidates the feature sets of Drawmer’s 3 most popular monitor controllers. Retaining the famed accuracy and transparent audio quality of the MC2.1, the CMC3 offers the precision and control of the MC3.1 in a low-profile, compact design similar to the CMC2. It is equally at home in a serious home studio or a professional recording facility.

For all Drawmer monitor controllers, one thing is guaranteed—accuracy. The CMC3 does not color the sound, nor does it introduce unwanted artifacts. It faithfully reproduces the audio signal without the limitations of passive circuits, ensuring what you hear is exactly what you have recorded.

Accurate & Transparent

The CMC3 inherits the same transparent, accurate circuit design as the MC2.1, removing limitations often found in passive circuits, such as inability to adjust volume for quieter passages or perform enhanced mix checks. The result? A true representation of what you’ve recorded.

Precision Monitoring

The CMC3 supports three sets of stereo monitors plus a dedicated mono speaker/subwoofer output. These outputs can be switched individually, simultaneously, or in any order, making it particularly useful for A/B comparisons. You can listen to multiple speakers using the same subwoofer or turn off the subwoofer entirely.

The volume control features a custom quad pot for excellent channel matching and a smooth feel. Additionally, the preset volume control provides a repeatable, calibrated output level, allowing engineers to hear the mix at consistent, predetermined volumes—essential for reliable monitoring.

Multiple Connections

The CMC3 features four stereo inputs: one SPDIF digital input (24-bit/192kHz) with the same DAC chipset as the established MC3.1, two stereo balanced jack inputs, and a 3.5mm jack with variable level control for Smartphones/MP3 Players.

The unit also includes two high-quality headphone outputs, each with separate amplifier and level control, providing the same audio quality and mix checking capability as the main speakers. An integrated talkback function, including level control and routing to a dedicated mono output jack and headphones, is also provided.

Advanced Mix Checking

The CMC3 offers comprehensive mix checking facilities, including dim, mono, phase reverse, left/right cut, and an easy access mute switch. These features allow you to fine-tune your mix by identifying unwanted artifacts, checking stereo effectiveness, and ensuring phase coherence.

Compact & Durable

Despite its extensive feature set, the CMC3 has a compact footprint of just 27x16cm and a low profile height of 3.5cm, making it a convenient desktop unit. The rugged, all-steel enclosure is built to withstand the demands of studio use, while a Kensington security slot helps protect against theft.
