Ex Machina Gravity is a passive 26cm subwoofer pair designed exclusively to integrate with Terra, extending the system into a full-range 2.2 monitoring solution with deeper low-frequency extension and significantly increased headroom. Rather than behaving like a traditional add-on subwoofer, Gravity is engineered as a unified system component, powered directly from Terra’s rear panel amplification and controlled through coordinated DSP.

Using a zero-phase LR4 crossover at 80 Hz, Gravity extends Terra’s low-frequency response to 30 Hz linear (F6 at 20 Hz) while preserving phase coherence, transient accuracy, and reliable translation. The compact, side-firing design allows Gravity to sit close to Terra in nearfield or wall-mounted configurations, maintaining stereo bass accuracy and reducing room-mode excitation. Terra stands confidently on its own; Gravity is for studios that need deeper extension, higher SPL, or greater impact without sacrificing control.

Gravity contains no internal amplification or DSP. All power delivery, crossover integration, delay compensation, gain trim, and system calibration are handled entirely by Terra’s onboard electronics. When connected, Terra automatically applies the appropriate system configuration, eliminating the alignment challenges and inconsistencies common to conventional subwoofer setups. Over-the-air firmware and calibration updates applied to Terra extend seamlessly to the complete Terra + Gravity system, ensuring long-term performance evolution.
