Where a conventional surge protector reacts after the fact, EVS actively monitors incoming AC voltage and disconnects power entirely when the line exceeds 140VAC or drops below 95VAC, preventing the kind of sustained over- or under-voltage conditions that can cause irreversible damage to sensitive audio gear.
