The Håkan P110-1 Pop Killer, developed by Swedish microphone specialist mikrofonen.se, is a unique pop filter designed to effectively prevent plosives (pops) while eliminating the audible coloration that other pop filters often cause.

It is highly effective in killing pops without compromising the frequency response and character of the microphone. The foam used in the P110-1 is carefully researched to maximize pop protection and minimize coloration. The specially selected foam is “hydrophobic,” meaning it will not absorb water. Moisture from the breath will not be absorbed by the foam, ensuring it does not stay on the filter to distort and color the sound. Additionally, the foam is easy to clean or replace.

Most pop filters are known to color the sound, but measurements made by mikrofonen.se in Sweden have proven that the Håkan P110-1 Pop Killer (blue curve) does not cause coloration, unlike traditional pop filters (red curve).
