The K&M 21430 is a heavy-duty overhead microphone stand engineered for studio and stage applications where height, reach, and stability are non-negotiable. A 22 lb cast iron base with a low center of gravity anchors the stand firmly in place, while three swivel casters with individual brakes allow it to be repositioned quickly and locked down just as fast. The single-stage extendable tube assembly reaches over 87 inches, and the extendable boom arm stretches to 73.6 inches with a 6.6 lb counterweight to balance heavier microphone assemblies. An additional mini swivel arm with both 5/8″ and 3/8″ threaded connections tilts independently of the main boom, giving engineers a secondary mic position from a single stand.
