The KC608 kick capsule uses a 17mm diaphragm in an acoustic housing that achieves a 40mm effective capsule size, maintaining a defined cardioid-to-hypercardioid polar pattern down to 50Hz—the frequency range where a kick drum’s core energy is generated—where most cardioid condensers lose directional control. The result is a minimum dynamic range of 142dB with maximum SPL exceeding 142dB, delivering complete capture of the kick drum from ghost note detail to full transient impact without low-frequency buildup or phase artifacts. The Kick Mic ships with an articulating swivel mount and Cordura zipper bag.
