The Lauten Audio LS-208 is an end-address cardioid FET condenser microphone designed for high-fidelity recording in acoustically challenging environments—untreated rooms, control rooms, or close-proximity tracking situations where off-axis rejection is critical. The 32mm cardioid capsule rejects off-axis sound from bandmates, ambient noise, room echo, and HVAC without requiring acoustic treatment or physical isolation, and two onboard filters allow immediate tonal shaping at the microphone before the signal reaches the preamp. With a dynamic range of 135dB minimum and maximum SPL exceeding 135dB, the LS-208 handles both delicate sources and high-level transients with a single cardioid capsule. It ships with a rugged flight case, shock mount, articulating swivel mount, and standard windscreen.
