Little Labs i-VOG
Analog Bass Resonance Tool
The Little Labs i-VOG is the standalone version of the legendary VOG (Voice of God), designed to deliver powerful bass resonance shaping without the need for a rack. While it retains all the capabilities of the original VOG, the i-VOG adds a high-quality high-Z instrument input, expanding its creative potential for use with a variety of instruments.
Originally created to capture the chest resonance of vocalists or voice-over artists, the i-VOG enables proximity-style effects without the need for close mic placement. However, its true power shines when used on kick drums and bass instruments, making them sound massive and well-defined.
Key Features
- Standalone operation with separate audiophile-grade power supply
- XLR & TRS input/output connectivity
- High-Z instrument input for enhanced creative applications
- Fully differential circuit topology
- Supports mono balanced or stereo unbalanced operation
- Headroom: +28dB max level out (mono) / +22dB max level out (stereo)
- Sweepable peak resonance from 20 to 300 Hz with steep roll-off below the peak (-24dB per octave)
Enhanced Low-End Control
The Little Labs i-VOG allows users to focus on the exact low-end frequencies they want, eliminating unnecessary mush and unwanted woofer excursion. With the ability to sweep resonance from subharmonic focus to the fundamental or upper harmonics, this tool offers precise control. On a kick drum, the effect can simulate the tightening or loosening of the drumhead, and in a mix, the i-VOG allows instruments in the bass spectrum to sit perfectly without clashing.
