Overview

The EQ4M is Maag Audio’s flagship mastering equalizer, based on the original 6-band NTI EQ3 and featuring Cliff Maag’s renowned Air Band® shelving equalizer. Known as one of the most musical-sounding equalizers ever made, the EQ4M combines a classic design with premium components and a high voltage power supply, delivering outstanding audio quality with flat frequency response across the range. Powered by an internal high current +/- 18-volt regulated power supply, the EQ4M offers a maximum output level of +28.5 dBu while driving 600-ohm loads, making it an exceptional choice for mastering engineers.

Features

  • Six EQ band sections per channel, including four fixed frequency bell-shaped equalizer sections, a 2.5 kHz shelving EQ, and the Air Band equalizer.
  • Air Band® equalizer with selectable frequencies: 2.5, 5, 10, 15, 20, and 40 kHz.
  • Boost/cut range of +15 dB and -4.5 dB for each EQ section, with a center detent at 0 dB.
  • Input Attenuator control with 0 to -10 dB range for precision gain control.
  • True in/out bypass and hardwire bypass switches for each channel.
  • Powered by a high current +/- 18-volt regulated power supply for more headroom (+29 dBu).
  • All controls are stepped (detented) for easy recall.
