Myburgh M1 Tube Microphone
The M1 is a new tube microphone with an all-new circuit design inspired by the vintage greats. Designed by Andrew Myburgh, Andreas Grosser, and Eckehard Dux, the M1 offers exceptional sound quality and unprecedented build quality.
Capsule & Tube
The M1 incorporates a German-made Mylar M7 capsule manufactured by Siegfried Thiersch and a Russian military-grade long-life tube.
Amplifier & Transformers
The M1’s amplifier boasts an incredible linear frequency response with minimal cut-off below 30Hz or over 20kHz. It features two custom-built transformers, one in the mic and another in the power supply. The combination of the amplifier design, the German-made capsule, and the new capsule headbasket design gives the M1 its unique sound.
Noise Floor, Output & SPL
The M1 has a super low noise floor, a high output, and handles SPL like your favorite FET kick drum mic. Variable polar patterns and true cardioid are key features of this microphone.
Unprecedented Build Quality
Made largely of brass, the M1’s build quality is unprecedented. All metalwork is custom designed and manufactured, ensuring a mechanical lifespan far beyond the typical modern-day microphone. The M1 is built to last a few lifetimes.
