Peluso P-28
The Peluso P-28 was designed by taking inspiration from two of the finest early tube small diaphragm condenser microphones, the 1955 AKG C 28 and the 1954 Neumann KM 54. The P-28 replicates the low-end warmth of the C 28 while bringing the high-end clarity of the KM 54. It employs a sub-miniature triode tube similar to the KM 54, delivering smooth, quiet warmth. With an easily removable head grill and swappable capsule, the P-28 meets modern demands for ultra-quiet performance while maintaining the vintage character of these revered microphones. Its hybrid FET-tube combination offers the reliability and low noise floor of a FET alongside the warmth of a tube, making it perfect for recording drum overheads, stringed instruments, or even orchestras in a Decca Tree configuration.
