The Peluso P-67 is a faithful tribute to the iconic U 67, a microphone that redefined recording technology in the 1960s. The U 67 was designed to deliver smoother highs, a solid bass, and rich, detailed mid-range while introducing key technical innovations. With its low-end roll-off switch, it controlled the proximity effect, preventing muddy and boomy low-end in close-up vocal recordings. A -10 dB pad switch made it suitable for loud sources like drums and guitar amps. The new glass pentode tube offered a lower noise floor than its predecessors, and the double backplate K67 capsule improved the figure-eight polar pattern. The Peluso P-67 recreates these classic features, offering a versatile, vintage-sounding microphone perfect for any studio environment.
