Peluso TR-14
The Peluso TR-14 Tube Ribbon Microphone combines the classic vintage-style ribbon sound with the warmth and harmonic complexity of a tube gain stage. Modeled after the early RCA ribbon microphones, the TR-14 features a long ribbon geometry with a thin corrugated aluminum ribbon tensioned between rare earth neodymium magnets. The ribbon’s position just forward of the magnet center provides a subtle low-end roll-off on the backside, effectively countering proximity effect when needed. Designed to handle low-level sources and long cable runs, the TR-14 delivers clean, balanced output through its custom output transformer. The rich, warm, and silky smooth sound of the ribbon is enhanced by the tube amplifier stage, making the TR-14 an excellent complement to condenser microphones in your collection.
