Radial SGI Instrument Line Driver System

The SGI is a high-performance balanced line driver system that sends guitar and bass signals up to 100 meters (300 feet) without noise or signal degradation. This two-box system consists of the SGI-TX transmitter and SGI-RX receiver, connected via standard balanced XLR cable. Premium Jensen transformers in both units ensure wider frequency response, lower noise and distortion, improved dynamic range, and superior signal-to-noise ratio while providing ground loop isolation. In the studio, the SGI allows guitarists to track from the control room while their amplifier remains in the live room or isolation booth. On stage, it enables clean signal management to off-stage isolation cabinets, wireless systems, and pedalboards while preserving the original instrument tone. The latest Jensen-equipped model accepts both center-pin positive and negative power supplies from 9V to 15V, making it fully compatible with standard pedalboard power systems.

Key Features:

  • 100-Meter Balanced Transmission: Discrete buffered circuit in SGI-TX transmitter drives guitar and bass signals up to 100 meters (300 feet) via standard XLR cable without loss or added noise.
  • Premium Jensen Transformers: Industry-leading transformers in both TX and RX units deliver wider, flatter frequency response, lower noise and distortion, improved dynamic range, and superior signal-to-noise ratio.
  • Ground Loop Isolation: Transformer isolation in both units prevents hum and buzz from ground loops while maintaining clean signal conversion at each end of the system.
  • Impedance Conversion: SGI-RX receiver captures the balanced signal and converts it to appropriate impedance for feeding guitar amplifiers while retaining original instrument tone.
  • Pedalboard Power Compatible: Accepts standard pedalboard power supplies from 9V to 15V with both center-pin positive and negative polarities (Jensen-equipped model), eliminating need for separate power supply on pedalboards.
  • Transparent Tone Preservation: System maintains natural instrument character across long cable runs, enabling control room tracking, off-stage amplifier placement, and wireless system integration without tonal compromise.
