What is Mid/Side Processing?
Mid/Side (M/S) processing allows for independent control of the central and stereo elements of a mix:
- Mid Signal (L+R): Includes vocals, snare, bass, and central instruments.
- Side Signal (L-R): Contains guitars, pads, cymbals, and stereo effects.
By processing the mid and side signals separately, you can enhance clarity, adjust balance, and fine-tune stereo width.
