Featuring revered circuits from both the B and E Series, Revival 4000 delivers the unmistakable SSL tone that shaped the sound of Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, U2, Metallica, Prince, and countless others. With its Jensen transformer-equipped mic preamp, B Series De-Esser, discrete Class A VCA dynamics, and classic 4-band parametric EQ, Revival 4000 is the definitive channel strip for engineers who want SSL’s legendary character at the core of their workflow.

  • Ultimate 4000 E Dynamics Section – Discrete Class A VCA compressor/gate with soft/hard knee, fast attack, and RMS detection.
  • Classic 4-Band EQ – Switchable Brown Knob ‘02’ and Black Knob ‘242’ circuits, with fully parametric mids and shelving/bell options.
  • High-Pass/Low-Pass Filters – 12 dB/oct (Brown mode) or 18 dB/oct HPF with 12 dB/oct LPF (Black mode).
  • Flexible Routing – Balanced insert point, external sidechain input, process-order routing, and sidechain link for stereo pairing.

  • Sidechain options: filters to dynamics, EQ to dynamics, external key input.
  • Flexible process routing including filters to input and insert to output.
  • Line output trim and switchable input/output metering.
