Vanguard Audio Labs VLSM Large Shockmount

VLSM Heavy Duty Large Shockmount

The Vanguard VLSM is a heavy-duty, professional-grade shockmount designed to provide microphones with long-lasting, high-grade support.

Re-Imagined Design

It was high time to rethink the standard “spider-style” shockmount of the past. Vanguard gave an open front to the VLSM, allowing microphones to be positioned as close to the source as possible while preventing early reflections from the front 120-degrees.

Vanguard also wanted to eliminate the aggravation of flimsy elastic bands that come standard with most shockmounts. These bands often stretch out, sag, and sometimes snap unexpectedly – not ideal when a microphone is in use. Instead, the VLSM is equipped with aerospace-grade rubberized suspension rings that won’t break, sag, crack, or stretch over time. The precise durometer of the suspension rings ensures firm support for even the heaviest microphones, while maintaining superb decoupling properties to prevent unwanted rumble and vibration.

Wide Compatibility

The VLSM comes as a standard accessory for the Vanguard V13 Tube Condenser and V44S Stereo Condenser microphones. It utilizes a standard M22x1 ISO Metric threading, making it compatible with microphones up to 68mm (2.68″) in diameter with M22 threading at their base.

Features

  • Heavy-duty brass and zinc metal construction
  • Aerospace-grade suspension rings
  • Open-faced design for easy microphone positioning
  • M22 threading for wide compatibility with microphones from other brands
