Solid State Logic’s new Odyssey brings Instant Recall to a large-format SSL console for the first time. In this video, Jeff Ehrenberg of Providence Sound & Vision and Phill Scholes of Solid State Logic will take you on a tour of the brand-new SSL Odyssey.
The complete suite of SSL console features is here: timeless SSL E & G Series EQ and VCA Dynamics, sophisticated routing and monitoring, dedicated Large and Small Faders, and more.
Powered by ActiveAnalogue technology, every part of the Odyssey’s sonic toolkit can now be precisely controlled, stored and recalled, all with a completely analog audio path. Instantly restore, compare, revise and switch between complete console states. Move seamlessly between projects, respond to client feedback and create stems and alternate mixes on demand.
The Odyssey is fully modular, boasting surfaces from 24 to 96 faders, 24-channel analog racks, bank swapping, eight stereo groups, four stereo buses, and ten flexible mono/stereo auxes. This next-generation console delivers the speed and flexibility of modern production without compromising the sonic excellence or hands-on creative control that define SSL analog mixing.
At the Providence Gear Gallery showroom, we have almost everything Solid State Logic builds available for demo. The Odyssey console featured in our video is the only one in the U.S. right now and is going on a road trip, but it will return to the SSL office in Los Angeles in November.
If you’d like to demo the console, reach out to us at provsv.com and we will set up an appointment with Phill and the team at Solid State Logic in Los Angeles and set up your own personal demo so you can experience it for yourself.
If your studio is weighing a large-format analog console and wants to talk through frame sizes, rack placement, or custom configuration options,

There’s a good chance the NOVA already in the rack isn’t running at full capacity. For one month, Trinnov is including the NOVA Immersive unlock with any NOVA that reaches 6 licensed Optimizer channels — no separate license to add on top. Here’s what it means for studios thinking about going immersive, especially the ones that already own a NOVA.
Solid State Logic’s new Odyssey console pairs a fully analog signal path with instant, precise session recall — built to scale from a single room to a full facility, with total project compatibility with SSL’s Oracle console.
Solid State Logic’s Origin EVO brings the feel and philosophy of a large-format analog console into a format built for today’s hybrid studio. The SSL Origin was a massive hit among engineers, and the EVO takes the Origin design to the next level with the addition of SSL’s legendary dynamics on every channel.
