Hilbe SKI B-50 500-Series Mic Preamp with 2-Band EQ

The Hilbe SKI B-50 is a mono mic preamp and 2-band equalizer in the 500-series format, created through a collaboration between E-A-SKI and Tom Hilbe Equipment. Discrete circuitry built around three 1731 Melcor op-amps is paired with a Carnhill input transformer and Jensen output transformers, with up to 60 dB of gain and 25 dB of headroom. The exclusive Sound Curve EQ section can be switched in and out, and a variable output control makes it easy to set levels going into the next stage. Mil-spec design and components, and assembly in Los Angeles, round out a compact module built for serious tracking.
